Have you ever wondered what was happening in China when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea? What famous Bible figure lived when the Trojan Horse was built? Who lived in North America about the same time Jeremiah wrote Lamentations? Which Bible figures were contemporaries with Greek thinkers like Socrates and Plato?

"Learn how God, since the beginning of time, has sought to reveal Himself to man. From Noah and Abraham and Moses, to the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans, the Lord has been at work to testify to His presence and tell us who He is." (From the cover of Mystery of History by Linda Hobar:)

Students will work with timelines, history notebooks, maps and memory cards as they are introduced to world history using Linda Hobar’s Mystery of History as a core curriculum, augmented by resources from Diana Waring, Answers in Genesis, B.A.S.E. [Students… discover that soon after St. Patrick delivered the Gospel to Ireland, the Western Roman Empire fell in Europe; Mohammed introduced Islam to the world about a decade after King Arthur rode with his knights; the Vikings ravaged parts of Europe while the Maori settled New Zealand; and Joan of Arc tragically burned at the stake while the [Incas built] their golden empire in South America!” (From the back cover of Mystery of History Volume II by Linda Hobar) Students will work with timelines, history notebooks, maps, memory cards and crafts as they explore world events that shaped the Early Church and the Middle Ages.
