"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God."(Matthew 5-9). All of us experience conflict yet few of us feel equipped to resolve it according to God’s word. Most students respond to fights by either running away from the problem or attacking their opponent verbally or physically. In this course, your student will learn essential and often neglected skills that will help them become the peacemakers that God intends for them. We will be using Corlette Sande’s curriculum as the basis of the course. Through role plays and other fun activities we will be practicing how to work out problems biblically, understand the causes of fights, and learn to resolve them through repentance and forgiveness. In addition, your student will learn how to communicate clearly and effectively to build others up to prevent conflict.

Debbie Hirschberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with children, teens and their families for over 25 years. Debbie is the clinical director and owner of a private practice dedicated to strengthening and encouraging families in their Christian walk. In addition, she works with businesses and churches to better equip them in conflict resolution and team building. However, her most influential teacher is the Lord Jesus Christ. He has changed Debbie from one who was terrified of facing conflict to trusting Him to resolve conflict and see His power in action. She has had the great privilege of testing these principles through homeschooling her three daughters
